I've heard Georgetown Day K is very play based.

Just because it's easy doesn't mean it's not academic involving reading, writing, or math. If you have to sit in a circle and listen about reading words or sounds you already know, that's academic while still being easy.

If you want a school that is just right -- not too hot, not too cold -- for your individual child, then the only way to be certain you'll get it is to home school. In public school, on the other hand, you have to accept that while the school is there to serve your child, it is also there to serve all of the other children too.

Its too easy for some kids and too academic and hard for others That's the problem with one size fits all.
