I follow the rule if my child is actually sick. But a few of the times when my daughter barfed, it was for other reasons, like the time when she barfed after drinking too many juice boxes, eating sweets and jumping on a moonbounce at a birthday party. She was fine so I sent her to school the next day.

If she is throwing up and also has a fever, or diarrhea, etc, then that's a different story.

If your kid feels fine tomorrow, I would have no qualms about sending her/him.

I also have a puker! I joke he's training to be a wrestler. If it's just over eating/emotions send them!

I am surprised by the number of people saying they would send their young elementary kid to school less than 24 hours after throwing up.
