+1. Someday, you and your children will remember the gesture, if not the items themselves. Imagine your DH picking out these gifts for his loved ones while being far from him. I still have everything my dad brought me and treasure them.

Only if gone for two plus weeks or over a birthday or other holiday. He does always bring a piece of candy for the kids and the frist-class kit for me from the airplane. Keep those around for overnight guests who forgot something - love them!

No worries. I haven't died yet, although I suppose there are always risks. My kids are no longer so young so it's not a big deal. And most of my trips are day trips. It sounds like there are quite a few women who have posted who do some travel for work. I certainly see tons of women traveling for business.

I'm also the one who travels. If I have time to go shopping somewhere, and if I see something someone might like I'll get it. Or, I'll do holiday/b'day shopping and just put things away until the occasion.

I don't make a practice of bringing gifts home from work trips and don't want to establish that precedent.

I'm the one that travels for work in our family, and no, I don't bring stuff home because I am working during business hours so anything I bought would have to come from airport gift shops.

DS yes, me no. I wish he would not bring DS something every time, but it is what it is.

He usually brings back a small gift when he takes a longer trip. A quick overnight business trip? Not usually, although he will save the chocolates from his pillow at the hotel for me.

I am the frequent traveler in the family and write this while looking at the dried alligator head I bought my son at the Jacksonville airport on Friday afternoon. I have got to stop this.

For DD sometimes. Not for me. But he almost always reminds me to bring something back for him when I travel

Yes. It drives me crazy. Now the kids expect it.

I'm the one who travels (lawyer mom), and yes, I do. I try to at least bring a t-shirt from the gift shop at the airport. It's important to them to know that they were thought of and my daughter gets anxious when I'm not home. My DH appreciates presents too.
