Okay, let me see if I got this straight. Op, you are a wife whose husband is totally down with this "affair" and you are both very happy in your marriage. You also think that if other people think affairs are bad for marriage they are "uptight." If your husband is totally on board I don't even think it is an affair. Why is it hard to start? Just start dating the guy as if you were single. Millions of people do it every day. As far as the uptight thing, I thought I was pretty laid back but I have to admit I would freak out if my husband were banging another woman while I stupidly thought we were cool with each other. I guess DC is just an uptight city.
