Depends what the Ex boyfriend's reason for getting upset was. If it was "your child is welcome at my home yet you'd rather sit alone waiting for your ex husband than your son attend Thanksgiving at my family's house even though you call me 'the one,' then I feel like the ex boyfriend was right to be at least somewhat ticked.

Today I learned that Thanksgiving is actually a very common day for college kids to break up. There's actually a name for it - the Turkey Dump. Very common when high school sweethearts pledge to be together forever but go to different colleges. They come back to their hometown on Thanksgiving, and realize they don't want to be with their high school sweetie when there are so many other options at college. Thus, the turkey dump.
