Your post sound familiar, OP. Are you the OP whonthinks his wife is a volatile loose cannon who is hurting your daughter but you refuse to go to therapy with her?
Regardless, why don't you have a comstructive conversation with your wife to determine a productive and united approach to your daughter's grades instead of sending two different messages? You're just as much a part of the problem.

Your wife really has you trained. Here's a clue: Don't answer the phone if you don't want to. She's an adult too and can handle an emergency during the length of your interview.
