Why do you need a monitor for a baby strapped to a bouncy?

The same reason you need one when they're in their crib or in your bed.

You might need a monitor if your crib is on a different floor, or otherwise far away, or if you're asleep and need a little more noise to wake you up. But there's really no reason to be far enough from your baby when they're in a bouncy in the daytime that you wouldn't be able to hear them.

I have something like this that attaches the iPad to a toddler toliet...hangs head in shame...it did get us out of diapers though!!

Ugh. Our society is going to hell in a handbasket. Some of the commercials they are showing for video games are so violent. Seems so obvious there's a connection between video games and random violence (an unstable mind can't differentiate between a video game where everyone comes back to life the next time they play, vs. real life shootings). Introducing video games earlier and earlier is certainly not the answer.

DS received an apptivity case for my ipad for his first bday - it went right back to the store. We'll show him very occasional videos (usually choo choos) and that's it.

Well, under-twos are supposed to get at least two hours of screen time/day, right? I can see how this product would be a big help-it gets really tiring holding an infant facing the tv or computer, but you gotta do what you gotta do to help them succeed!

It hurts my eyes imagining my baby looking at that. Especially when captive in one of those bouncy seats. Ouch.
