Deal breaker. My dad taught me to watch how people treat those they feel they don't have to be nice to such as wait staff, receptionists, janitors, junior officers, etc. It shows the true measure of a person.

Deal breaker for me. I was dating someone and he behaved similarly on a date and then was angry with me for "not backing him up".

That was the last time I saw him.

Add me to the list of "this is a deal breaker." My brother is just like this. Thank god no one has been stupid enough to marry him, although he truly wonders why he is still single.

+1. Sometimes, it's the waiters that are rude.

this is what I was going to say. To answer your question flat out - would being rude to a waiter be a deal breaker? My answer would be no, because everyone has bad days and has snapped (or been rude) to someone during a bad day/time in their life. But the fact that he yelled at you and was awful the whole night? dealbreaker.

+1000. abusers and manipulators are very good at making you believe it was not their fault and even making you fell bad for them.

run as fast as you can, unless you want to end up with a second divorce on your back (if you are lucky enough that you have any strenght left to seek divorce) after years of emotional and maybe physical abuse.

you deserve much better than that, don't throw your life away

OP, one rarely sees unanimous opinion on DCUM. I'd add mine to the list and says DTMFA.

Please, run! There's a reason he has never been married. There are many nice guys out there.
The waiter forgot the ketchup, and your date can't handle it?!
When I was a waitress and my date complained about the wait staff, I thought I was on candid camera! Did he forget I was a waitress? The complaining took all the attention away from why we were in a restaurant in first place- to get to know each other and have a good time! I expect my new pal to minimize any mishap, not maximize it.But luckily nobody I dated was as bad as your date.
Please don't waste your time. The waiter was probably wondering why a lovely lady like you hangs out with a jackass.

I'd end it. Also, anyone who pisses off the people who handle his food is too stupid to be worth your time.
