No, doesn't seem that they come up often. I am checking constantly and doesn't sem there's a lot of turnover in the neighborhood. Wanted to get others' reactions/opinions/leads.

I think it is a nice neighborhood. And I think it is silly to squabble over McLean v Langley. Both are very good. If you can find a house you like in your price range, I would move quickly.

Thanks. We're far from HS kids (no kids yet) but know this is a point of contention w area parents. We considered Langley-feeder neighborhoods, too, but seems like there is little community (don't flame me!) and while we know McLean is the best or one of in the area, we'll prob go private anyway (but that's just us).

We're a young-ish couple, successful, looking to have more land, more house, and more neighborhood than we've found so far in Arlington, which we don't think really compares. Thoughts on the different areas of McLean? We like Chesterbrook b/c it's so near to DC (both work on Hill).

I think the 22207 part of Arlington and the 22101 part of McLean are very similar.

But it seems like you get more land/better house and better HS than 22207..... ?

Chesterbrook = mansions, large homes/land; Arlington = nice homes, cool vitbe/little land.

Chesterbook Woods is a great neighborhood, lovelty houses with lots of gret people, very near to DC. Franklin Park is also very nice. This whole area is one of the best in DC so if you want to raise your family here, plan accordingly!

I honestly can't tell the difference. Definitely a difference between 22102 and 22207.

We strongly feel we want to be INside the Beltway (part of what we love about Chesterbrook - so close but huge houses). 22102 is great, but too far for us.

Some people rightly prefer to live in McLean. It is a different neighborhood, despite the 22207 references. They are both very close, but you really can tell when you cross into McLean. They are both very similar, both great people, but there are differences (such as size of lots/houses, etc.).

Chesterbrook is a great neighborhood. Great people and great homes. I'd say go for it, if you can and can afford it.
