OP keep up the good worth. Don't let these folks influence you. I went from about 600K to 1,000,000 mostly due to 401K and investment properties. Liquid cash exhausted on a business...would have done better not opening the business...my brother in law was similar to you and is up 3 plus million now and I think he was 1.4 million prior to cash. He has been investing in real estate since 2003 and market since 1999. I had to pull out cash for business.

A lot of haters in this thread. I'm very happy for you OP and hope things work out for me too. I was 29 in 2009 and only had $170K. Now I'm up to $1.1M. I didn't start investing in the market until the last year or two so I missed out on some big gains.

We are now nouveau riche and I am having some difficulty adjusting.

This has turned into one of those threads where you can't tell who's serious and who's being sarcastic.
