Not the OP, but I was not a candidate for ECV due to prior c/s scar (apparently some OB's do it, but mine wouldn't).

Another reason a person wouldn't be a candidate for a version is a suspected uterine anomaly.

Depends on baby's age. Until 4 months or so, they do ultrasound, later is x-ray. My DD was checked for hip dysplasia at around 6 months ( she was not breech but there were other concerns at that age), and they did an x-ray.

Just went in for my 36 week appointment and found out that my baby is breech (and I believe she is frank breech but the doctor didn't know for sure because she needed to talk to the sonogram tech). Anyone out there recently have any luck with the Webster technique or spinningbabies, etc. to get their baby to rotate? I'm going to call the chiropractor tomorrow to see if they can help since I'm hoping to avoid a c-section if possible. Didn't realize that if a baby is frank breech, they might have hip issues!

This was my experience during pregnancy, too.

DD was frank breech. Legs were up in the air immediately after birth- but only for minutes.
Neonatologist was massaging/flexing her legs/knees immediately after birth. She was swaddled. Legs were down/normally held the next day. Had an ultrasound later. No hip dysplasia. No issues. Thriving toddler now!
Try not to stress too much! Just make sure you discuss the timing of the ultrasound.

If you have an anterior placenta, like I did, you are not a candidate for version.

Version is not always successful.

My 7 week old daughter was breech (not frank) and delivered via c-section. She preferred to hold her legs like a frog's for a few weeks and they've gradually straightened out. Ultrasound at 6 weeks to check for hip dysplasia; hers are normal.

I had breech twins and their legs were fine after birth. Not sticking up in the air or anything. They didn't have any u/s for the hips either...they are 8 months now are doing great!

Breech DD - got a hip sono at 8 days of life and was harnessed for 12 weeks.

A friend of mine waited til 6 weeks to have her beech DD checked and then required PT and ended up in a full body cast at 10 mon when the issue was still present. At that time , she sorely regretted not getting a sono right away.

Get an appointment with Dr Tosi at children's hospital. Don't delay.

Pp here - when I said I never felt her move, I mean I never felt her flip around. I did feel her feet and hands kicking my ribs, right near where I felt her head.

Ultrasound at 6 weeks revealed no issues, and we've had no issues since.

My DD was breech and like you I was not a candidate for ECV and beyond the help of Spinning Babies. Her legs looked "funny" for about 6 weeks, but like PP said, actually it was kind of cute. However, she did have bilateral hip dysplasia, which is more common in girls, first babies and obviously breech babies. She had to wear the "harness" for a few months and go for some extra doctor appointments. It was a big annoyance at the time, but its just a distant memory now. Even in severe cases, like DD's, it is very treatable when found early.
