Those of us actively and seriously pursuing employment want to use our time wisely. I'm glad I haven't taken the time to go to any.
Lots of companies schedule these things months ahead.

Depends on the type of job you are looking for and the job fair.
Most in DC are a waste because it is all federal/contractors. Positions are filled through networking or based on if your resume can help bring in more contracts. I received a couple of call backs, but to do work in my old career field and I was moving into a completely different career field.

Just went to the one in Frederick, MD. Total waste of time. Please go to our website & fill out an application & upload your resume. Our website has our open positions listed. Or-do you want to go back to school?

It depends on what else you would be doing with your time. If you're unemployed and just watching TV, you may as well go to a job fair.

Totally depends on if they are recruiting for someone who matches your skill set. I have been to several, they've been informative but did not lead to a job.

Another job recipient from a job fair. It's true, you might not get a job there, but it will help you discover companies in the area who are hiring.
