I'd be inclined to believe that he was with another woman and just figured he'd deal with you the next day.

However, I did this sort of thing to my now husband on our third date. I was in a drama-filled phase of my life but I finally got it together after he sent me a heartfelt but blunt email about being disappointed. Maybe it's different because you're the female, but I don't know.

Run run run away and thank your lucky stars that you got out early. One of my best friends married a total tool who treats her like a stray cat. Every now and then he throws out a bowl of milk and scratches behind her ear, but for the most part he ignores her and is completely thoughtless.

They started dating when they were long distance (old friends, reconnected after a few years) , and the first time she flew to the same city to visit him he was supposed to pick her up at the airport. Long story short, he failed to show. She called him from the baggage claim to find out what was up, and he said he forgot. Showed up about an hour later - said he had to shower first.

OP here, thanks for the replies- I just wanted to make sure I wasn't being too sensitive or unfair about it. You guys nailed it really because I have been thinking to myself that if he had called me to genuinely apologize it would have made me feel better and more inclined to give him another chance...
