This. How about pears or apples, either are good sliced or warmed in a chunky compote.


They are in season because they are all currently being harvested in the United States. You know a lot less about agriculture than you think.


Yuck, if this is what strawberries and blueberries taste like in "season" something has gone very wrong.

I would probably serve a big fruit platter with thin red and green apple slices (squeeze lemon juice to prevent browning), pear slices (red and green), grapes (red and green), and a cream cheese dip and a caramel dip. Artfully sprinkle with dried cranberries and apricots. Have a bowl of clementines on the table as well.

On the cheap/less fancy: a bowl of clementines, apples, and pears. Grab and eat.

Most are not in season...
