I would be concerned that my 3yo would overhear what was discussed and repeat it to my first grader. I don't mean that anything horrible would be talked about, but I would want the summary of the meeting coming from me and not a 3yo. I can just imagine the younger one saying "Mommy, Daddy and teacher all said that you cannot do math.." etc.

+1

I think having the kids there would be too distracting. (But maybe your kids are better at sitting quietly than mine are!)

What about just having your DH go in his own if you don't want to be the one relaying info?

Thanks guys, can always count in DCUM to come up with multiple strong opinions!

Yes, it is an issue that DH and I aren't always on the same page. One way I'm trying to work on it is for us to both be as involved as possible, so it's not always me telling him what happened, what the dr/teacher/coach said. I'm thinking we can hear the same thing, then talk afterwards to see if we both really 'heard' the same thing and talk about next steps.

The kids are coming with us, we'll see how it goes & ill be more careful next time (darn day care closings)

Agree. However, how come no one has mentioned that its crazy how husband and wife isnt on the same page? That is a bigger issue than the conference.
