Designers can also get your fabric for you at a lower cost.

Our designer passed on her discount at Wash design center and didn't mark up and Lee was having a sale so it was cheaper than the 10yr old sofa I was replacing. And I love it - got upgrade cushions and fabric. Total deal if you can find someone to do this.

By the way, my Lee sofa (which I bought for about $1500 on clearance in San Antonio) needs a new slipcover as it is a fine linen and is getting a little shiny. I emailed them, and if they still make the sofa, they will also make a new slipcover for you. Their customer service is great!

But to Sheeple, that what the sheep have, so it must be "high end". Comical.

Sounds line we have a 1-percenter here. Feel better to talk down the the peasants?

Not really. I just don't understand blowing money you don't have, on what you perceive others have, just to be one of them. Ridiculous.

What about Ethan Allen sofas? I like a lot of their fabrics.

Count on 4-5k for nicer fabric. Also remember most designers will charge a markup. 90" is pretty long.

Mitchell Gold is great. I use them all the time. Prices are about the same. More options in the 2-3k range. 15% off right now in the whole store.

We have had ours for twelve years, and it still looks new. Would highly recommend. We are skeptical of most mainstream, mall and bandwagon brands (C/B, PB, et al), BTW. It cost $5,000. 12 years ago. Don't know what they charge now, I imagine more.

What timing. I was looking at my denim covered Lee sectional this evening and thinking the cover needed to be replaced. I was going to try urban country because that's where I got it. It's a great sofa-super comfortable.

We have a lot of Mitchell Gold furniture and it has held up very well. The employees are pretty helpful, too.

Absolutely do not pay for a designer if you want Lee. It is available at tons of stores locally at decent prices. I highly suggest Decorium Home on King st in old town. They pretty frequently have special order sales where you can order Lee (and others) for 40% off. I have bought an upholstered bed, sofa, etc through these sales. You get design assistance, the full range of fabric swatches, etc.
