This is common in similarly packaged lettuce in other stores, though.

Overall, I haven't had any problems with open or packaged produce, or otherwise.

I also shop there, haven't had any problems. However I did buy mandarins for $7 and they were sour and no one in my family wanted to eat them. Big waste. I only mention it because OP said she had the same problem.

I shop at the Tysons one at least once a week. I do buy produce and haven't had many problems. Yes, sometimes when you buy a bag of apples there is one that is bad, but I've found the same with other stores.

My kids like the pretzel slims and the french toast -- also there eggs are really good.

What I buy weekly, broccoli, cauliflower, asparagus (if they have them) recently bought fresh brussel sprouts.

Sparkling bottled water is priced well.

Great price on cheeses and

I only do Wegman's for my fresh foods.

TJs is good for processed foods and that is about all.

I shop at the Rockville Pike store and occasionally have gotten a bad package of fruit. I try to be more careful now -- if I can't be sure if everything in the package is fresh I steer clear and buy individual pieces of fruit instead. I've had pretty good luck with the fresh veggies, bread and dailry. No spoilage. I always check expiration dates too.

You can try complaining to the store manager, they are usually attentive to their customers.

Unhealthy junk food galore. Better off at a 7-11. Crap beer and wine too.

+1 -- TJ's is for people who want to thing they're "foodies" but actually never cook.

Another one who doesn't buy produce at TJ's. I shop at the one in the West End but am always, always sorry when I forget and buy their produce.

I've never had trouble with the Trader Joe's on Wisconsin in Bethesda.
