Dinosaur Train
There's a transformer robot show. Almost like a mini version of transformers but for preschooler. The name escapes me. And of course, there's Thomas the Train.
Recently, we say parts of Epic-that was interesting. Animation on saving the rainforest.

We watch these on Netflix once a while. I'm sure it's available on youtube. Most are less than 30 minutes.
PBS has some online that's short too. We stick to shows that are short. They are available on dvd as well.

Wizard of Oz. Just kidding. I recently asked this same question, also noting that we were planning to watch The Wizard of Oz and everyone thought it would be way too scary for a 3 year old. DC survived the Wizard and as far as we can tell he's not scarred for life.

The only movie 3 and 3 months DD has watched is LIlo and Stitch (not all at once). Finding Nemo was too scary for her.

Brave was pretty scary for a 3 year old.

Another vote for Finding Nemo!

My sensitive dd found Finding Nemo much too scary. We skipped the first scene where mom gets eatern, but the whole plotline of Nemo being separated from dad had her in tears.

The Iron Giant. Greatest movie every made (you'll like it too). My twin boys burned through at least 3 dvd's and watched it 500 x's.

My advice is to stick with 30 minute shows, rather than 90 minute movies at that age. You can always do more than one if you want/need, but it's good to have an end point in between episodes. Again, CSM has reviews/recommendations for series as well as for movies.

Agreed. For my 3.5yo, I STILL think 90 minutes of continuous screen time is kind of a lot (and he probably couldn't sit still that long, anyway). We've loved the PBS kids standbys - busy town mysteries, Bob, Dinosaur train, etc. - and old Rocky and Bullwinkle.

Cars 1. We also like to buy cheap shows off iTunes. 15-min segments seem to work well. Curious George, Chuggington, Busytown Mysteries, anything PBS Kids.
