My son worked as a counselor at Calleva. It's a well run camp.

Each horse is shared by 2 riders so they split the day. There are 3 levels. The bus counselor is unlikely to know much about your child's day unless one of them happens to be your child's counselor.

Counselors are on the bus - but they will not know how your kids day went as bus counselors are not the same as the child has during the day.

I was a bit disappointed last year with St. Sophia stop. It is very popular and was definitely oversubscribed. I heard the counselor say they had too many kids on the bus.

There are counselors on the bus.

My daughter did the riding camp last year, and my impression was that there was not actually a ton of riding time.

Bus drop off was around 5pm this year at Chevy Chase Circle.

The overnight's vary, but my daughter had fun even when it poured one time. They slept on the bus that night. Otherwise they are traditional camping trips.

As for drop-off in upper NW I think it was at 4:45 at St. Sophia's
