OP here. Thanks for the suggestions! For some reason, it never occurred to me to go for a lunch. We have various doctors' appts and other stuff this week, so we decided to go to the Grape and Bean in Old Town this weekend (thanks to the posters who mentioned Alexandria) or if the shutdown continues next week, we'll go for lunch while the kids are in school. DH has never been to the grape and bean, but I know he'll enjoy it.
