The ultimate "Hot Airplane Guy" is a guy wearing dress shoes, dark-wash jeans, a plain v-neck t-shirt (basically any color OTHER than white), and a sports jacket.

Not that I met my husband on an airplane and that's what he was wearing or anything ...

A v-neck t-shirt and a sports jacket? V neck t shirt?

Accessorized with a gold chain, natch.

Any kind of tshirt is nasty. So are tight oxfords.

odd regarding the slim button down choice. every woman I know hates that americans in general wear baggier button down oxford shirts and loves the Italian/british cut of button downs.

Don't agree with the original PP - and looks like none of the other posters do either. Think fitted, i.e. well-fitted, shirts and pants are what sets off a guy in an average outfit from the rest of the pack. If there is pulling or gaping (and perhaps that is what the first PP was referencing), then of course that is a no-no though.

I like the "skinny" more fitted men's button downs these days. Dh isn't very thin, so he had been avoiding trying them, but he bought one to try it and I'm beyond in love. It slims him down (he's not fat, just a more built up shape) and is modern looking without being annoyingly trendy.

Fit is so important - esp. For suits and shirts.

Good shoes. Clean and clipped nails.

Clean teeth. Floss please! Watch a YouTube video to learn how to do it properly. I don't mind smoking but old gunk in your teeth? No.

A suit that's not baggy. Shoes that look modern or European. Tight t-shirts.

I think I just described what a lot of gay men wear.

Fitted clothes - I hate baggy, sloppy pleated pants & billowing dress shirts. Take some fashion risks & make an effort. No running shoes with jeans - or really ever, except when actually exercising. No short sleeve dress shirts. You look like a substitute teacher or a missionary. Get a real haircut!

I second the kilts. Not enough of those. Also, you do notice it when someone is soaked in a cologne, but I do miss that splash of good masculine scent once in awhile too.

haha. learned that at a young-ish age (post UG).

very rarely bring out a light spritz of Canali.

To be honest, in cooler temps, I don't even use deodorant and women don't mind. (I shower twice a day).

I think the cologne/deodorant industry for years conned us all.

I notice expensive, well-pressed dress shirts.

I also notice kilts. hubba hubba.
