I know a Milo and he is a goof. I also think of Milo and Otis. Mila is ok.

Um no, she won't. My niece is a Mila. Don't think anyone's made that mistake.

Luckily you will have 35 years to get used to the idea (if the OP names the baby Mlo).

definitely, and if you like a name, why even bother asking DCUM? That said, there are certain names that I just make me think young kid. Josh, for instance - it's a perfectly nice name...it just reminds me of a kid.

I dont understand the idea of asking anyone here about a name, because every single name is considered trashy/classless/too popular by at least three people on every name thread. Everyone in the world should be named elizabeth and henry, according to DCUM

+1

I wouldn't name my kids Milo or Mila but I don't think they are horrible....just not my style.
If you like them, go for it.

Milo is bad. Mila is ok. There'll be pronunciation issues.

Like them both. Don't think either are "too trendy" - at least not in my circles.

I don't know why you think that (or why it's bad -- the "too" modifier is strange. I thought people sought out popular names?)

Milo is also very popular now.

Based on that, I think OP is in the right ballpark.
