Kensington is a great community. Einstein district is not a problem. Negative comments always come from someone who paid a lot more than they should have for their home outside of Einstein district and want to do whatever they can to keep those values high. Scare tactics are usually effective.

Oakland Terrace and Rockview are great elementary schools and Einstein has wonderful programs. Don't let people on here scare you. Their responses are aimed at protecting their own property values and not giving you an honest response. (There is always a chance they are racist too and a little diversity freaks them out!)

Agree with the posters suggesting Rockville, parts of Silver Spring and Kensington. If you don't mind being a bit further out you might also look in Olney.

Can you give me specific experience that you have with the schools to back up your post? I would like to hear actual stories about why OP should avoid those schools based on your personal experience.

Are you the Ashburn booster? Plenty of $500K homes in Ashburn, but I bet you wouldn't call the schools there "not very good," now would you?
