+1

But I bought mine in London 20 years ago. It makes me sad that the giant store in covent garden is gone.

Really? You missed all the Docs on sale and endless fashion blogs/magazines talking about combat boots?

I only obsess about make up. As far as fashion, I know what flatters me and stick to that.

I looooved those shoes years ago-so comfortable. I'd get them. In fact, I might look for some.

I also bought mine in London at the store in Covent Garden. I still love them although I don't wear that as much anymore. I walked in every major city in those shoes. They are pretty heavy though. I don't care if people think they are out of style. I wear what is comfortable.

Love the combat style and was looking for comfy boots for running around with kids in the winter.

I'm 33, tall and thin, SAHM.

They were in style when you were in middle school. Your answer is no. You get to wear a fad only once around.

Bullshit. If you lived the style the first time around, you get a mulligan.

I think you get extra points if you are wearing the old school made in the UK ones. I switched up to Red Wings when they shifted docs to China, but I still have a purple pair in the back of my closet ...

I'm almost 40, and still wear my docs sometimes....although I'm more of a "creepers" kind of gal.

Dr. Marten's is opening a store in Georgetown, on M St., shortly.

Thanks everyone for your opinions!
I had several pairs in high school and college, I donated all of them after my first DD was born because I went up half a size
I do consider myself sort of a grown up hipster lol so I think I'll buy a pair since docs are really not that expensive and I remember they can pretty much take anything and hold up really well.
I saw them on Jessica Alba who is my age and she looked so cute.

Thanks again!

I love my docs. They've lasted almost 25 years. Who knew they would make a fashion "come back". Now I'm in style.

OP I am a 33 slim sah too and would definitely get them if I already didn't own a million pair of boots. And if I saw you wearing them I'd most certainly give you a compliment!
