Have you actually tasted it? I'd rather omit rice from my meal than eat this stuff. It really is awful.
No, I have never tasted Minute Rice in my whole entire life.

What a stupid question.

Anonymous wrote:OP, if time is really an issue I second the frozen packets from TJs. Another good option is Success Rice.
Anonymous wrote:I like minute rice (brown). I always have it in our home for some "emergency" or for when I used to work.
Nowadays, I rarely use it because I usually cook enough for 3 servings (for each of us) at a time in my rice cooker. Use some that same day and freeze the rest divided in two different containers - each container is enough for one meal for the whole family (as a small side of course).
Also, you don't need a rice cooker - rice is one of the easiest things to make and where I am from, people do it everyday. I learned the traditional way on the stovetop with my mother, but my aunt is a big fan of making it using the microwave (30 min and done!). You don't need to tend to it or "pay attention."

I was going to make the same suggestion. I always have the brown and jasmine rice in my freezer.
