Anyone who believes what a married cheating person says is dumber than a bag of rocks. You already know the guy is a liar and a cheat and you are surprised when you find out he is lying to you...

Single women being with a married guy is pretty much admission that you can't get anyone except the scum at the bottom of the pond. I figure either they are just as skanky and pathetic as the guy or they have major self-esteem issues that make them think that no man with self-respect would go for them.

I have a friend from college who is a serial cheater. I hold many of his secrets an would never tell his wife but even I cringe at some of his dalliances. The ironic thing is that his Facebook pic is of him and her and he posts tons of pics of them doing fun stuff, going on vacations, dinner etc. if you were to judge his life based on Facebook you'd think they were that annoying couple that are so in love. She is also much hotter than any woman he could cheat on her with. Not even close. Yet I bet we was lying in his girlfriend's bed while uploading his pics. I can't figure it out.

I agree. Cheating is less about bad marriages and more about a personal lack of integrity or character. It is someone who is okay with lying, cheating, deceiving, betraying and hurting those they say they love. If someone cheats, that is because of the person they are, and the state of the marriage is secondary to the moral code or lack thereof that they use to guide their actions. They might use their marital problems as an excuse or as a way to rationalize what they did or even to try and blame the other person and make it their fault - but all those tactics are pretty common in people having affairs as they lack integrity and aren't likely to be honest about their own shortcomings, and they lean towards being narcissistic (I want what I want and I'll have it regardless of who it hurts).
