I also think Asian/black and Asian/white biracial people are gorgeous

+1. Also, at least one of the parents has to be good looking and DC has to take after that parent. One fug plus another fug does not equal a beautiful child. Of course sometimes one good looking parent plus another good looking parent does not always equal a beautiful child either.

There are many half-black/half-Asian people in DC. Maybe I just know a good share of them for some reason - but it's not rare for this area.

Why do some consider this line of thinking offensive?

Because it means that the minority race isn't pretty enough until you mix "whiteness" with it.

Or that the majority race isn't pretty enough unless you mix "blackness" with it.

I can see why some people find the OP's statement offensive. In a way I do, although I agree that many interracial people have interesting features that are (to me) attractive. Of course all the examples are from celebrity-types, who tend to be more attractive than the average. I'm sure there is a wider range of attractiveness that what's being represented here.

I'm biracial and I think it's kind of rude to those who aren't biracial. As if they had any control over that.
