yellow could also refer to a prescription status - maybe your pills are on their last refill, or second-to-last. Or maybe it has something to do with your insurance provider or claim status. Or it could be an internal classification and red is emergency meds, yellow is birth control and routine stuff, something like that.

I would only assume they were flagging anyone for painkillers or anything that could be used to make meth.

The color wasn't yellow. On the red paper bag they give you with your prescription, with your name/date of birth printed on a label on the outside of the bag, the random word "YELLOW" was also printed on the label. I'd just never noticed that before.

I don't think you're paranoid OP. I take a lot (by my calculations) of OTC, but really behind the counter allergy medicine. I love my meds and only take it as needed because it works so well. Still, sometimes I leave it at work or home and go buy more. I always think I might get flagged. I also worry that it works too good and they'll take it off the market soon (like they did with Drixoral). Damn meth heads.

If they wanted to "flag" you for investigation, they would do it in the computer where you would not see it.
