Yup. We discuss it as it comes up and is relevant.

I don't know that I believe in God, DD is taught the basic concepts by me, but I don't mind if she questions or doesn't believe. When she is at other people's homes or invited for a Christmas dinner for example, she is allowed to go and prepped to say "Merry Christmas" but I tell her to be quiet while others pray yet not to pray herself to Jesus.

There was a DCUM thread on this topic a while back, and someone mentioned a book for kids that included religious stories from different traditions. I need to look it up again- sorry I don't have a link for you.

We're just direct with our DS and tell him that we don't believe in god. Period. Other people are entitled to their points of view, and those viewpoints (for the most part) deserve respect. We also teach him that some religions have inspired people to do great humanitarian things and some very awful things. I don't think we have a monopoly on wisdom. I just can't think of anything better to say, and I don't want to deceive my kid. If he decides he wants to believe in god when he gets older, that's his decision.
