Is Turkey Hill good? I see it all the time and never picked it up. What does it compare to? I usually get Edy's or Hagen daaz, will i like Turkey hill?

Now, see us good parents who only feed our kids healthy stuff, are smart and save it for ourselves. My kid does beg for veggies and refuses ice cream. Who am I to argue? I like Ben and Jerry's, Haagen Dazs or Baskin Robbins.

We actually really like the Lucerne chocolate from Safeway (Safeway's brand, I think). It's soft and very creamy.

I tend to buy reduced calorie/reduced fat options more often though, because when I really need a sweet fix I don't want to consume as many calories as are in a serving of the good stuff. On the low cal end of the spectrum, though, I really like the Trader Joe's fat free vanilla Greek frozen yogurt.

I love Graeter's. I want to try Jeni's buckeye flavor but I'm waiting for Whole Foods to have it for 1/2 off, can't justify $10 a pint.

I'm originally from Ohio and saw Jeni's (Columbus) and Graeter's (Cincinnati) + some Broonlyn NY brand at Whole Foods Tenley. They also had Moorenko and Dolcezza which are local I think. We've tried Moorenko from Brookville Market before and were not impressed. We got Graeter's Cherry chocolate chip and it is quite good. I want to try Jeni's goat cheese sour cherry, but I can't justify $9.99 a pint.

There were other niche brands too - but I was looking for something chocolate or cherry for DH's birthday and those are the ones I noticed.

Yes to whatever's on sale. Just as long as it's real ice cream and not the low fat/low sugar kind.
