I'm with the bartender PP and the PP above. Worry about good quality OJ. You're not going to taste the difference with the sparkling stuff. Any cava or prosecco between $6 and $10 will do.
The reason you avoid Champagne is not etiquette. It's to avoid wasting money. You're not going to taste the difference through the OJ. (But you WILL taste the difference if you use crappy OJ.)

After the OJ, you can't tell the difference dear. Mimosa just means you're spiking the OJ, don't worry too much about the wine.

My trick for mimosas is to go pretty cheap with the bubbly (Andre is fine, although I usually try to go a little nicer than that), but get a really good OJ- definitely not something from concentrate.

Real champagne only comes from the Campagne region of France (and is legally protected as such). There is champagne etiquette, which you should not mix champagne with juices. However, it's great with regular sparkling white wine.
