Not really. No one wants to live near Tysons.

In Tysons? Not too many people yet. But the areas near Tysons in Vienna, Falls Church and McLean are among the hottest areas in the entire region.

Residential real estate is not an investment, IMO, it's a residence. Choose it on that basis and if it also turns out to be a good investment, that's gravy.

You want to buy a good value, but it's not something you can or should count on providing a certain rate of return.

Pimmit hills is a collection of very small 50s rambler homes without basements. It was considered a rough area in the 70s-80s but is now considered safe and more desirable. Due to it's delay the neighborhood has a lot of old run down homes that are rented out and will either be sold as teardowns or land investment properties. There are also some updated with additions. There are also quite a few new construction homes (built post 2000). The pimmit dr entry (west) side is not as visually appealing but the north and east side (olney) have newer original brick homes (meaning lates 50s and 60s) that are more visually appealing.

The map I provided includes pimmit hills and surrounding areas that are new the new silverline and tysons. The school district is highly rated but was not rated highly until the last 10 years so it is playing catch up with the immediate area.
