I would actually be able to get to Germantown easier. Also parking around that area, even in shopping centers is so bad, I'd actually prefer to have it out in Germantown. Its one town away, really not that big of a deal. I actually avoid the Rockville Trader Joes and Whole foods because of the horrible locations/parking on the pike.

This doesn't make any sense. Why wouldn't you want the Wegmans two miles from your house and then just don't go during rush hour? It does not take 20 minutes to drive two miles during non-rush times. Also if you need to go to Germantown during rush hour it will also take a lot longer than 20 minutes.

As an alternative to WF, Dawson's Market in Rockville Town Center is nice and I think their prices have gone down since they first opened.

Not a rumor Totally happening. You can see the tower from 270 now. They are hiring and planning to open in the fall. woohoo!

Stop spreading rumors. This is not I. Any way confirmed unless you have a source you'd like to share.

Are you joking?: http://www.wegmans.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/PressReleaseDetailView?langId=-1&storeId=10052&catalogId=10002&productId=757672

My source is Wegmens themselves. You sound lovely. What would be the point to spreading a rumor like this? Maybe you should have actually done a google search before you decided it wasn't true.

According to the link, it is opening in Germantown, not Rockville. That's about a 20 mile difference! So yeah, I'm with the PP, the rumors are not true (yet, I'll keep my fingers crossed).

Yep, Exit 16 on 270. Not even close to White Flint.

My favorite things from TJ include Greek yogurt and broccoli slaw. Not everyone shops there to stock up on junk or convenience foods.

I know. It seems pretty clear Trader Joes did maim her puppy once, or maybe stood her up at prom, and she's committed to spending the rest of her life engaged in a lying smear campaign. After she posts, you feel like you need to wipe off her angry spittle from your face.

Now I'm off to grab a handful of unsalted almonds that I bought at TJs

Not the poster you refer to, but Trader Joe's is being sued for false advertising. I like Trader Joe's too, and I shop there occasionally. I do think their "convenient" meals are probably not very healthy although they claim to be which does make them different from Safeway selling Doritos unapologetically. This is interesting:

Have you tried farmer's market? The prices are comparable, and the qualities tend to be better.

I also go to Trader Joe's, not for their produce (also suck), but for their dairy products or snacks. I only go infrequently, though, because I try to eat minimally processed food.

Yeah, Trader Joe's is the absolute worst. It's basically a 7-11 for hipsters. Crappy wine and beer, over-processed junk food, and rancid produce. Tons of MSG in their house brands too.

Where do you shop?

Whole Foods has been going down in quality. I usually buy meat there. At times it is not that fresh. As for all the other overpriced stuff, just no.
