I just book the type of room I need - two double beds. For online bookings, I don't recall ever seeing the requirement to enter the names of people or # people in the room.

I do think there was a deal offered online that you didn't get when making your original reservation. Also was "resort fees" part of that $100

I always list them so the hotel understands the second Q bed is not optional.

I do, but honestly if I had 5 children I'd probably try to figure out a way to "hide" one.
