I don't think it's a male/female thing. While females are more aware of their body issues -- I frankly don't want to see anyone I work with in a bathing suit; I don't need to see their gut/chest hair etc. I'm in biglaw as well and if we did this event, I feel like 2 people would jump in and swim and everyone else would watch. Though we're a conservative office -- the Christmas party dance floor is empty all night every yr bc no one feels comfortable dancing with the partners watching; so usually you get a few oblivious partners dancing and maybe 1-2 lovey-dovey associates who can't keep their hands off each other and everyone else (400+ people) spectate.
