Subject: Help! Need kindergarten for fall
It's on the other side of town, but there's been talk in another thread of a montessori school that's just opened in the SW/Waterfront area that's supposed to be Spanish immersion and have a religious affiliation. It's not super close to Takoma, but if you work downtown it could be convenient.

Acorn hill is a waldorf school with a K program just off Sligo creek and 29 but not sure of openings or if the location works for you.

OP here. I called on Wednesday and was told no and got an email on Thursday saying no again from Lourdes someone. Maybe I will just go there tomorrow in person and ask to speak to the head of school.
I will attend Grace's Open House as it looks great. Anyone know how carpooling might work when we don't know anyone there? Is there a link on their website to sign up? I know they don't have a bus service and my husband and I both have to be at work really early.

When you're at the open house, ask about carpooling and getting connected with families in TP. There's also a before care option, which starts at 7:30 I think.

Ask the admissions director at any school and s/he will be able to connect you with families in your area. Most schools have early arrival programs too. Good luck!
