OP, I am so very sorry for your loss. You sound like a wonderful cat person and I am sure your kitty was blessed to live as a part of your family for so many years. Take care.

Oh, I'm so sorry, OP. Glad you were able to be with her and say goodbye to her though, but I know how painful this is no matter what.

I'm so sorry. We lost our 18 yr. old and our 19 yr. old cats in '03 and it was very hard. We waited too long in one case and should have had him euthanized but didn't and his last day was pretty bad.

Learned a lesson there, don't let them go too long and suffer. It sounds like your situation may have been more peaceful, I hope, though it hurts like hell to go through no matter what.
