I'm not saying anything like you're not going to Heaven or you're going to Hell or anything, but I'm curious if you understand that this is not how it works? You don't get into Heaven for having tried to be a good person -- or even for being a good person. Entry to Heaven is for those who kept the faith and lived by God's law, not "good" people.
I'm curious as to whether you understand that that is your opinion rather than objective fact. It doesn't even take an atheist to disagree with your statement.
+1. You don't "know" anything. You believe that, and it's fine, but I cannot understand the arrogance that allows people to claim they "know" these things.
Still, that's quite a hedge by the pp. "I'm an atheist, but if there is a God, he'll let me into heaven because I'm a good person."
Um, no. And you're probably not nearly as good as you think you are. One redeeming factor about religious people is that they generally acknowledge their transgressions and seek atonement. Atheists just tend to be smug.

Not the PP, but your view of religion is very specific. Many conceptions of god and/or religion are different than the one you are conditioned to believe is true. Many don't think of god as a "he" either.

That's interesting (I mean that without any snark at all, I'm genuinely fascinated by this topic and I know it's hard to read tone in these threads)
So, a minister might say that a Hindu or Muslim who lives a good life according to the principals of his/her religion, even if they are not Christian ideals, would still be admitted? But an atheist who denies the existence of any higher power would not be admitted?
I don't know, honestly, because I've never had that particular conversation with a minister. I have had the conversation about Muslims and polytheists with more than one minister. It seems logical that the same reasoning would apply to loving atheists (which might actually offend some of you more strident atheists!) but I don't know the ministers' position.

You should google the definition of evangelism. OP used a general title in relation to atheists, I clicked because it pertains to me, and then begins telling atheists that we are wrong in our beliefs.
