I decided it was better to cut ties and just leave that job off my résumé altogether, rather than have to explain why I was only there for such a short time.
In short, trust your instincts and get out as soon as possible if you think you can't make it work.
I did this too, except it was 3 months. I will warn you that depending on what kind of background check is done, even very short term jobs will pop up on your history. I had to explain my short tenure and abrupt exit in the first interview for the job I have now, but I have a variety of convenient justifications and explanations that made them willing to overlook it in favor of my other skills.
Ultimately, you should trust your gut. I felt like I was being constantly undermined at my nightmare previous job, but I was sure that I was being paranoid. I had a conversation several months after leaving with someone else who had left at approximately the same time who confirmed almost everything I'd suspected was going on behind my back almost since the day I started. My over-arching feeling was that there was no way things were going to turn around, and my former colleague confirmed that suspicion.
