Yes. My kid has this after a birthday party. It was really alarmingly green. Did they have an EOY party at preschool?

Good to know!

Thanks so much! it was so scary to see vivid grass green poop. She's our first born and 2.5 yrs old. She had solar system themed cupcakes (dark frosting cupcakes) thanks for this!

OP here. This made me laugh!

No go though. DS only had maybe 2 or 3 blueberries, if even that. He often eats blueberries and mac and cheese, which doesn't result in green poop.

Sadly, my son does NOT eat vegetables. We're working on it, but it just doesn't happen (and we're vegetarians too). He does have a high metabolism and is tall and skinny.

3.5 yr old DS has green poop almost daily. Ped doesn't think it's an issue, he eats lots of veggies. Also has a high metabolism.

Do you give him vitamins? Iron can make poop look darker, which sometimes looks dark green to me.

Whenever my kids have a lot of sprinkles, frosting, that rainbow ice cream (not that they have those a ton but I do remember the occurrences because of the poop) they get bright green poop.

Me too.

I don't worry unless there's 2+ poops of alarming color/smell/texture. I don't think there is anything life-threatening that is only present as green poop.

Blue food coloring? We all had bright green poop after cupcakes with blue frosting . . . .

Two things: one, it could be just that it's moving through his system really fast. Poop is always green at the beginning of the bowel, and only turns brown as it moves down.

And second, you know that superman ice cream? With the vile bright yellow, blue, and red swirls? My kid ate that once (thanks, grandma!) and had the most alarming grass-green poop for two days. Think artificial coloring; not green, necessarily, but blue+yellow.

I see cupcakes actually has a "simply red" cupcake this week. If he ate that it could be the culprit.

Op here. No the frosting was a white/cream vanilla and a vanilla white cake.
