Nope, I'm not going to do that. I've already indicated that I plan on keeping them. I'm not in love with the idea of black shades but I'm not the type of person who is always going to be bothered by the idea that I didn't have "my" thing.
You said you were going to try to keep them. I don't get spending lots of money on furniture and bedding to match black curtains if you don't love them. Look at Smith & Noble. Plain Roman shades aren't expensive.
No, upon seeing people's suggestions, I'm going to keep them. I don't have any furniture to begin with, so I don't mind buying things that coordinate with them as long as they don't look offensive to me. If they were clashing with furniture and bedding I already have, that would be another issue. I know Smith and Noble, there are 5 very large windows in this room, so it's going to be expensive to replace them. They also match nicely with the ceiling fan in the room, which I forgot about, which is also expensive. I definitely would not replace them with something like plantation shutters.
