Subject: Is your kid really picky about toothpaste? Help!
My DD is the same way. We compromised and let her use 'baby' toothpaste, but she is required to use a flouride mouthwash afterwards.

Dentist recommended Taners Tasty Paste in vanilla - had a sample for us and dd loves it. Haven't looked online yet since it was a full size tube. It is supposed to come in chocolate flavor too.

Crest Sparkle Fun
+1.
This is the only one my son will use. But I think he likes the name more than anything else.

OP We have the same problem with our DDs. We use Tom's Strawberry, but all the fun looking princess and sponge bob "fruity sparkle berry" flavors were rejected. Stand fast on the fluoride though. She is old enough to learn to spit it out at this point. Said the mom whose 6 year old got cavities because we only made then brush once a day.

OP, our dentist discouraged the baking soda as an alternative. Point of toothpaste is the fluoride, which you won't get.
