Another tacky house in Palisades, the new epicenter of classless new construction. Bleck!!!

I am intrigued by the labelling of a photo "Half bath shower." Wouldn't that make it a 3/4 bath?

Whoops wrong house, that is the back yard, but it does overlook Canal Road. Good view of the commuters.

Holy sweet mother of sweaty, preppy Georgetown grad sex. It's F.Scott's on steroids. I can just smell the 4711.

I've never bought a house at ANY price and not had the painters come through. Why would you want to live with someone else's colors and smudges??

I agree that the ugly decor is an easy fix (except for the light fixtures-- replacing all THAT bad taste would get expensive) but I am biased against this house because the owner or agent can't stop insulting the intelligence of blog/ forum readers all over town. We seeeee you, owner/ agent! And we don't like you. Or your ugly overpriced house.

Why didn't they sweep the patio and get better umbrellas then the home depot builder grade ones

I think it is spectacular!! Love the views, great kitchen. People, you are not buying the furniture, learn to look past that. The fireplace in the master bedroom is amazing!

when they land from the South, they take off to the North

Is that an original Van Gogh in the dine-in kitchen? And how the wallpaper in the powder room would transport you to 17th century China! And the beautiful ceiling fan in the bedroom? And the marble in the master bedroom fireplace - just the thing to look at when you take a break from chess! And just imagine folding yourself into the corner jacuzzi while your partner relieves himself on the toilet!

Truly breath-taking! Thanks OP.

Usually such unabridged snarkiness just makes me think about how the DC area is defined by the sheer volume of its passive-aggressive personalities, but this made me laugh. Probably the toilet humor, I'm afraid to say.

So cut this out and rejoin the human race, AFTER I clean up the coffee I just spilled.

And when you do, it's like "wait... what?" I seriously thought the listing agent had screwed up the slideshow and put in a front-view photo of a completely different house-- one that's situated two feet away from its neighbors on both sides with no side yard, and in no way worth $2M+.

Love to know the history of this place - it's got to be a re-do, right? Why on earth put a patio off the master bath - here, walk by my toilet and have a glass of wine from the patio...why not extend the patio and have French doors off the master? A private patio is a nice idea at this price point.

Also don't get the water feature. I though it as a lap pool - is that what they're called, they have a strong flow so you can swim in place. If not that, it needs to be a hot tub or something.
