The Joy Luck Club. I found the movie much easier to follow with all the different storylines and different characters.

Agreed. You really have to admire the vision of the people that made the movie to get such a good movie from that book.

The movie is wonderful. Gregory Peck as Atticus is amazing. But the book is more evocative, and helps you to understand context and draw a vivid picture of Macomb.
