One day I discovered my neighbors were stealing my cable tv by splicing into my lines. I disconnected them. Week later they had reconnected. I disconnected again. They reconnected. Third time I disconnected them, I wired a 240v line to their old junction, knowing that if they attempted to reconnect it would blow up all of their electronics. Sure enough, the next night I hear a loud bang. Every tv in their house basically fried itself. One of them caught fire, they had to call the fire department, whom, upon learning of the cause of the fire called police. But only after a pretty sizeable portion of their home was destroyed. Police spoke with me, I told them what I did, and they laughed their asses off. For old measure they arrested the husband, no idea on hat charge. The house was declared unsafe by the FD and razed. They moved, a developer bought the land and built a SFH in its place. New neighbors are nice.
To each his own I guess.

Some being built, some already built. Fights being picked in the neighborhood (these are grown adults) that don't really make sense otherwise. Similar to PP, old neighbors complaining about everything and anything, really irrational. Slander, libel, vandalism, harassment, stalking, and other charges involved. My friends have first class litigation lawyers, so are not concerned with legal advice. They have won cases to date, which has just made the old neighbors more upset with their own lives (if that is possible).
I was just wondering if anyone has heard of this or if it is just the area. Was it like these cases or different? What happened?
It seems to me, as PP said, they will have a nice, young successful couple move in next door (in the new houses) no matter what. Generally, I don't know of any UNsuccessful people that live in the new houses (!!!), so what do they expect? If it were me, I would issue a restraining order. But its not, so they are lucky. I haven't asked about the other charges, but it seems they have it under control.
I was wondering if this is a common occurrence. It seems so outrageous that grown adults would be so UNhappy in their own lives as to do such a thing. I know my friends are too busy to move in the near future, and probably not as outraged as I am about it (just listening to the story!).

This is diabolical. I'm vacillating between being appalled and impressed.
I once had neighbors I wished would move. They didnt; we moved instead. Our new place is so much better for us in so many ways, not just the neighbors (who are great).

You sound worse than a derelict criminal, but that probably makes your kind proud, sadly. Hows the trailer home these days?
Well, to be fair, I didn't plan on burning down their house, just frying their TVs. I was mostly tired of contesting the Ppv charges. It wasnt he best neighborhood I'll admit, an we've long since moved (to a $1.6M house if it matters), but kept the home as an investment. The new neighbors that moved in are still there and actually act a pseudo property managers for us. Nice folks.
NP. Wow. They ordered PPV while splicing into your line? That's chutzpah. Or incredible stupidity.
