That said, the atmosphere wasn't quite right for kids when I was there. Very loud, very crowded, all grown-ups, kind of a party energy going on. I think kids would like the food (mine would). But to me it just seemed like the vibe was much more adult. YMMV.

My kid liked Le Diplomate, no stink eye at all. Similar vibe to Bistrot du Coin, just newer with better food.

No issues with the kid at Le Diplomate? Was thinking of checking it out next week...

We have been taking DS there since he was a baby. It's fine! And there are many kid friendly options.

A 7 year old should be able to go to Restaurant Eve with a book. Does he actually have behavior issues at restaurants still?

No. They are really not.

Lord have mercy, come into the city every once in awhile - I swear if your kid goes one night not eating chicken nuggets, he will live.

We eat at Zaytinya often enough that my 4 year old is pretty well known there. They have tons of dishes that kids will love and they will love having their own "little plates"

Hummus is great they have great kebabs that kids love to eat, several great chickens and tons of good meat and cheese pastries.

I would totally take my 4-year-old and wouldn't think twice about taking a well-behaved 7-year-old. That place is loud and not "too" adult. Chances are you can find some mezze dishes that are "normal" enough for a kid.

From the responses, sounds like it's more likely to be a problem for any older folks with hearing problems!

I've taken my six year old every few months for her whole life. Not a problem at all. Actually a very easy place for kids (unless there is way too long of a wait, but even then they like playing outside, or even chilling in the chairs in the bar area if that is available).
