They're not a loving family, they're a cult family.

They don't believe in obtaining a college education because they think exposing yourself to knowledge will corrupt them, they pretty much enslave their daughters to take care of their other kids - the daughters don't really have a choice. The kids have no friends except each other, because again, corruption or purity or some other BS. The parents aren't interested in fostering a sense of openness and exploration that makes for healthy kids - they're interested in controlling and brainwashing them with immense amounts of fear. If this family were Muslim but did/believed the same things, you can bet there'd be much more expressed outrage about their cultish ideas.


The cult was started by Robert Gothard who founded IBLP. And yes, the Duggars lap up that Kool-Aid.

If they will be filmed up here, presume that they will be getting paid something by TLC. Certainly not enough to buy a house in Chevy Chase or in high end portions of Arlington, but possibly enough to be closer in than Loudon.

My guess is that Anna (the wife) will likely have more culture shock than he does, even as a SAHM. In DC your average SAHM usually has a good education and pre-kid resume of her own right. Finding friends may be tough. Who knows, maybe not.


I didn't suggest that they'd live in Loudoun because they couldn't afford somewhere closer. I suggested it because you know there's no chance in hell they'll live in DC or PG (liberals and brown people, you know), Montgomery is part of the Socialist Republic of Maryland, Arlington is nearly as bad, and even Fairfax is purple/bluish. No, Loudoun is as close as they'll be willing to come. Why, the good folks of Loudoun have even elected a patriot like Eugene Delgaudio to the Board of Supervisors, although insidious followers of Satan are conspiring to lay him low and limit his influence on the Board.

because they are happy and the peopel here are not. they mask it with liberal I love everyone views yet stab everyone in the back when they get a chance to get ahead.

There are bitter women here who can;t deal with other peopel being successful and the fact that they are in dead relationships and their husbands "work" so hard yet they do all they can to stay away form their wives as much as possible.
