I thought when 20:30 said "here" she was referring to DCUM forums in general, not this specific thread. It's no secret some of the parents of students who are transferring to the cluster 2 center have negative things to write about Haycock. The parent movement was to decrease the population of the school before the renovation. Most sensible people would find this a good thing. Parents looking out for the welfare of the school is a good thing.

The poster said "here" so I think many of us rightfully assumed she was talking about this thread. Who knows what was said on the AAP thread (not everyone is interested in AAP)? FWIW, the parents did lobby to get the kids kicked out. I don't think that's a secret. I know they testified at several school board meetings and there were a lot of emails circulated trying to get parents involved in the cause. I know I was asked to sign a petition. The school is very crowded and some parents felt very strongly that sending the kids to another school would help.

On the AAP Forum, a thread is running where a poster went out of their way to note that the Haycock base parents were "aggressively" lobbying to have their cluster 2 classmates removed from the school. The same bitter poster who posts endlessly. This sentiment is not representative of the school as a whole.

Having moved from another school in FCPS, much better in all accounts - teachers, staff and administration!

Could it be that they are not posting "untruthful" thing but just had a different experience than yours and so have a different opinion of the school than you do? I find it hard to believe that people just lie because they want to portray the school in a bad light. Do you tell "untruthful" things just to portray the school in a good light? I doubt you do.

PP, what on earth are you talking about? The reviews on here have been positive. No one is trashing the school. A few people have mentioned likes and dislikes, but no one has trashed the school. Of course, it's not perfect and people have differing opinions. It would be that way with any school.

It's a great school with hard working teachers, staff and administration. The PTA is involved and supportive. The principal is approachable and helpful and goes out of her way to support students and families. We couldn't be happier.
