We have a standing steamer (conair maybe?) we got at Costco and we LOVE it. DH uses it every day and I use it frequently. We have only taken the iron out for melting DDs Perler beads.

19:39 I've never heard of the wet towel trick. How big of a towel and how wet? What settings on the dryer?

I pick out my clothes the night before (like jewelry, shoes, everything). I put everything on a hanger and mist my clothes with some plain water. I do this at like 9pm and by morning everything is lovely and wrinkle free! Try that before you buy a steamer maybe.

I have a rowenta steamer too. I think I paid about $150-180 for it. And it is a HUGE disappointment. It only really works on very sheer lightweight things that you wouldn't iron. Otherwise you need to kind of push it against a hard surface in order to make the wrinkles come out. But it's hot so you don't want to use your wall. It is much quicker and easier to just iron, so I rarely use the steamer. I had such high hopes for it too.
