Have you thought about becoming a rep for a direct-sale company? Find one that has a product you value and can be genuine about. Many offer flexible requirements that can be done or a p/t basis and bring in income that covers the "extra's".

I worked for Alpine Access more than 5 yrs ago when I was between jobs. The pay is not much to be honest (call center rep) and you can't have background noise but possibly if you could work nights or part time hours and your dh can watch the LO then that type of setup might work for you. I had a couple former coworkers who also delivered papers when they were out of work, the $ was pretty good but it's not easy. Can't miss a day and they'd have to get up and drive around at 2am, 3am for several hours.

i myself do not work from home, but in my job we recently purchased a new data management system and had a "trainer" walk us through the program remotely. this preson worked from home. it seemed like a legit job - basically she was an expert in the program so she walked us through basics then did some consulting to help us format it to fit our business. i have no idea how to find these jobs, but if that sounds like something you can do they ARE out there!

Please don't resort to Stella and Dot or Longaberger baskets and pretend you have a real job by pimping your stuff out at parties though; that is just embarrassing for us women who have real jobs.
I know a woman with a well paying job who does this. I cringe when I get the invites...

agree to never, ever refer to yourself as a "new mommy" to another adult, unless you are looking to get pummeled. Also definitely not in a job-hunting situation.
Also, what you're asking is kind of like saying "what's a job with a good commute for me"? Well, you have to be more specific on a number of levels: what skills, what hours, how much pay, what do you want to do or what are you qualified to do.
